We asked tall women who are 5’8″ and over to tell us about their experiences shopping for swimwear that complements their frame. The results? Well, they’re pretty eye opening.
Our survey found that the traditional high street is failing tall women. More than 80% of our over 5’8″ respondents told us they struggle to find swimsuits that fit from high street brands. When asked if they struggle to find swimsuits that fit their body proportions 74% answered yes. We asked those same women to try on a Long Tall Sally swimsuit and here’s what they had to say.

Our survey revealed that 68% of tall women said they find FIT the most important feature when buying a swimsuit, whilst 8% said adjustable straps. 70% of tall women said they need to purchase tall swimwear for the longer proportions.

How To Look After Your Swimwear
- Quick Rinse – Rinse your suit in cold water after each wear as soon as possible. To remove excess salt, chlorine and suncream.
- Suncream-free zone – Avoid getting suncream and any lotions on your suit as the chemicals can damage or even stain it.
- Washing – We recommend hand washing your suit. Even on the gentle cycle, a washing machine can still be too rough on your suit. Use cold water with mild soap and lightly massage.
- Drying – For best results gently squeeze out any excess water. You can also lay your swimwear on a towel and roll it up to absorb any water. Leave your suit out flat to dry.
